I’m pleased to give an update with at least some good news, although there will be no meeting on June 20th, 2020. I want to mention that a number of local game stores have reopened, and are welcoming customers again. Please patronize your favorite stores, as they are small businesses and can use our support during these times
For some good news, Bucks County is now in the Yellow phase, and the Oxford Valley Mall is now only mostly closed. Stores with outside entrances are open – there aren’t many of them, but they are open.
Once again, based on my reading of things and researching their other properties in Pennsylvania, the mall may not be be reopened internally until the Green phase, and while I don’t want to speculate too exactly on when I think that may happen, I am trying to watch things, and come up with some semblance of plans. It’s also quite likely that they may not re-open the Community Room for events at the same time they re-open the regular stores.
As far as precautions go, the officers and I have have had some discussions. I am personally testing boardgaming while wearing a mask and gloves, and it’s quite workable, if one has good gear, at least for me.
We will keep everyone informed about future dates as we know more.
Stay safe, and game on!
