First, a big thank you to everyone who replied to the re-opening survey. It gave us a lot of useful information. I was surprised about a few things, and we will have a post out about the results shortly, but I wanted to cover the more important news.
EPGS will be hosting board gaming on Saturday July 17th, in the Community Room on the Upper Level of Oxford Valley Mall from 10 am until 9 pm, note the slight change in hours.
We are doing this in association with Interstellar Entertainment, who puts on Retcon USA, which also happens at Oxford Valley Mall.
Food:
Most of the food vendors at the Mall have re-opened.
We will have some tables set up as an eating area away from the gaming tables for those who prefer to eat away from the gaming table. Of course, the food court is available as well. Please be courteous of others if you intend to eat while playing.
Dues:
People who purchased a full year membership in 2020 will have that extended to cover the entirety of 2021. We will offer a second half of 2021 membership if there is interest in it.
Precautions for this meeting:
We’re going to start up with some restrictions, and adjust as we go.
A non-contact forehead temperature scanner will be used upon entry.
Face coverings will be required for non-fully vaccinated people.
If you are fully vaccinated, they will be optional.
If you are unvaccinated, and are unwilling to wear a face covering, please do not attend.
Hand sanitizing wipes will be available, as will cleaning spray and paper towels for tables.
General:
There will be games available from the club supply to purchase, and if there is enough interest in a raffle. We will also have the remaining club t-shirts there as well.
Personally, I am very willing to hear feedback from individuals or as a group, either during the meeting when I’m not playing, or afterwards, as I suspect people may want to go out to eat afterwards.
At the 7/17/2021 EPGS meeting, 22 games were played with 17 different titles represented by 30 gamers who attended.
A dash then a number after a title indicates the number of times it was played; if no dash & number is present it was played
only once. If a game has various maps or can be played with or without expansions, it will usually be listed as the name of the
base game, unless the variant map is published as a standalone game.
