EPGS Meeting, August 1st, 2020
EPGS will be hosting board gaming on Saturday August 1st, in the Community Room on the Upper Level of Oxford Valley Mall. This is subject to change if the Mall has any issues that crop up that would render us unable or unwanting to meet there.
Our last meeting went well, and we will continue to ask that you respond if you are intending to come to the meeting on Meetup or Facebook.
An image showing our approximate table layout for this meeting can be found here:
CovidTable Layout
There will be a number of things different about this meeting, due to the current pandemic.
Notably:
Meeting & Mall hours are reduced from 11-7.
The Community Room doors will be kept closed.
Face coverings are required.
There will be hand sanitizing wipes available in a pop-up tub.
A non-contact forehead temperature scanner shall be in use.
No raffle, no prize table.
Not all food court vendors have re-opened yet.
The only restrooms in use are the ones near the food court, but this may change as the Mall operations ramp up.
Any questions, please ask.
At the 8/1/2020 EPGS meeting, 9 games were played with 8 different titles represented by 14 gamers who attended.
A dash then a number after a title indicates the number of times it was played; if no dash & number is present it was played only once. If a game has various maps or can be played with or without expansions, it will usually be listed as the name of the base game, unless the variant map is published as a standalone game.
Friday – 2
Age of Bismarck
Balloon Cup
Barrage
Dinogenics
Princes of Florence
Sorcerer City
Tapestry
No EPGS Meeting on April 4th, 2020
There will be no meeting on April 4th, 2020 due to the Oxford Valley Mall being closed, and the various precautions that are ongoing restricting gatherings.
Once again, the shelter-in-place order is in effect, and the mall is closed. I expect that this may also be the case for the meeting on April 18th.
The World Health Organization has a “Play Apart Together” campaign going. While it focuses on video games, there are other gaming options out there, as we know. Those options range from connecting and playing via video, playing with family and roommates, playing online on websites, or even playing games with the kid next door through a window separating your enclosed porches, like I did in my youth growing up in Philly.
I know some of you have expressed an interest in getting together for some two or three player gaming, and feel free to use the various ways to get in touch with people that we have.
Take care, and stay safe.
