Announcing the Return of EPGS Membership Cards
From Bob Hranek
As you read in your April Heroics, a Calendar Year discount membership is now available. The cost depends on when you pay: $10 Jan-Mar, $8 Apr-Jun, $5 Jul-Sep, and $3 Oct-Dec. I now have the first batch of membership cards printed for those who have already paid for the rest of 2002. I will distribute these at our meeting on 15 June.

New Playtest Game from Noted Designer
I have received a playtest copy of a new game by Jared Scarborough, designer of the Avalon Hill classic Age of Renaissance. The game is called Giveaway and is described by the designer as a cross between Clue and Paths of Glory. It is a mystery game played on a hexmap and features multi-use cards such as those used in many popular wargames from Avalon Hill and GMT. To make things even more exciting, Mr. Scarborough has included a sealed question for the playtesters that is not to be opened until the first game is complete. The quality of the components for this playtest copy is surprisingly high. Four players are needed for the first "blind" playtest of this game. If you would like to be involved, see Dave Bohnenberger at the June 15th meeting.
