Ubercon announcement
We at UberCon would like to invite EPGS members to our inaugural UberCon
gaming convention in New Jersey to be held February 14 - 17, 2003.
UberCon, LLC produces high-quality gaming conventions worldwide to satisfy
the increasing demand for in-person competition and social opportunities.
Leveraging our core team's diverse strengths, our focus will be on providing
an enjoyable gaming experience to satisfy the growing demands for the gamers
of today. We offer a variety of tournaments using computer, console, war and
tabletop games, as well as the highly popular trading card games. In
addition to this, we supply a friendly, comfortable, and organized venue for
customers to play non-competitively with friends as well as strangers.
While initially launching in the New York City area, our objective is to
provide world class facilities as a global entity for the purpose of
ushering in a new era of unsurpassed excellence in the game convention
industry. Our organization bridges the isolation of "real life" enabling
people from all ages, walks of life, and locations to meet, socialize and
compete with each other in their favorite games.
Sincerely,
Andrea Jagh

Editor's Note: The number to the right is the number of times the game was
played at that particular meeting. This is the NEW FEATURE I mentioned in
last month's newsletter. It has already revealed a shocking fact - only nine
games of Puerto Rico were played at EPGS in all of December. This game is
not as popular as I thought!
For 2003, I will attempt to record EACH TIME a game is played at EACH
meeting. Therefore, if there are 16 games of Puerto Rico played at a
particular meeting, there will be 16 entries for that game in the database.
Needless to say, this will involve more work for me. To assist in this
process, please consider reporting games played to me, Dave Bohnenberger.
(In case you don't know who I am, I'm the fat bald guy. Yes, I know that
doesn't narrow it down much). Especially helpful would be to inform me when
a game is played multiple times in a sitting. For instance, it's not always
apparent to me if players are on their first or fifth game of Puerto Rico. I
know some of you already do this and I appreciate it.
I would also appreciate help in recording games played on those rare days
when I can't make it. As a DBA I greatly value data integrity.
